Leonardtown Library - St. Mary's County Library

The librarians are so helpful! I was able to put a hold on an entire series that I was looking for. The library is clean, beautifully set up, and the bathrooms are pristine.

I really want to enjoy this library, but I can't seem to find a space for myself. There are only a few empty, non-computer tables, so when I want to sit and do some work, I have to limited options. The fun workshops are often during normal work hours, so I can't attend. Now, they've expanded their children's section, which is great in theory, but every time I've gone during the summer, there are children screaming at the top of their lungs and playing. I can hear the screams all the way from the Maryland room. I know libraries in general are shifting from being strictly quiet places to community hubs, but there should be some noise limits for folks who want to focus on reading or work. Wish there was more of a focus on adult services, more specifically working age adults.

Helpful, informative staff. Plenty of room for quiet study. Excellent meeting rooms.

Love this place! What a beautiful space. Their storytime is wonderful; very professionally done. It gives me a place to share something special with my granddaughter!

The place is clean, spacious and nice to look at, so much more room then they had before! Only downside to me is the parking, it's not as easy to get a spot close to the doors anymore so there's more of a walk to get in. However if your escorting little ones the parking lot is NOT next to the road and the cars are going slowly though it so it's safer.
