I love all of Chef Vaknin's restaurants I've visited, and Le Basque is no exception! I made a work team dinner reservation here because my teammate is Vegan. This definitely impressed the group who couldn't believe several of the dishes were entirely vegan (the cheese board and the grilled chicken dishes, specifically). Because we were a large group, we asked the staff to recommend and order for us ... omakase if you will (we trust you!) They brought out many small plates - 2 of each - which were my faves of the night: I recommend the wild mushroom & truffle croquettes, romesco grilled chicken, and calamares fritos. They served us the two different paellas, the ravioli, mojo flank steak, and the polenta for the mains. At that point, we were getting so full from the small plates alone, t

We came to celebrate our anniversary and had such a beautiful experience. The team treated us so warmly and made the night feel special from start to finish. Every dish was incredible — the burner-finished plate was amazing (both the show and the flavor!), and the vegan chorizo tasted unbelievably real. It’s impressive how everything is fully vegan and kosher yet still so rich and refined. The cocktails were perfectly crafted, and the lavender mint tea at the end was the perfect finish. A truly memorable dinner. Highly recommended for a special occasion

Oh lalala! This place was an absolute delight. I ordered their cheese platter, which featured a selection of artisanal cheeses. It was the best cheese experience I've had in quite some time. Honestly, I usually avoid vegan cheeses because they often lack flavor, but their cheese platter was unexpectedly delicious, with rich, authentic flavors. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, I truly enjoyed the exceptional service and the cozy ambiance that made the visit memorable. Ah and they have an happy hour which I didn't know but I was happily surprise when I saw the bill.

Le Basque completely surprised me in the best way. It might honestly be the best vegan restaurant NYC right now. The space is beautiful and intimate, the staff are warm and genuinely professional, and the whole experience just feels thoughtful without being over the top. The food was outstanding. The Escargot and the Wild Mushrooms & Truffle Croquettes were such a strong start, and the Mojo Flank Steak and Mushroom Paella were full of flavor and beautifully done. Desserts (Entremet aux Noisettes and Tarte au Citron) were the perfect ending. Even the cocktails were on point. If you’re searching for the best vegan restaurant Manhattan — or even the best French vegan restaurant NYC — this place absolutely deserves to be in the conversation.

Incredible food. Impeccable service. My friend has a nut allergy and they were extremely helpful identifying the dishes for her to avoid. Can't wait until I'm back in NYC and can visit Le Basque again. Loved everything we had but the "escargot" and "salmon" starters were definite stars. And don't skip on the bread!
