Landon’s Ices & Creams

I love the small feel of a quaint ice cream parlor in walking distance of my home. Olivia was so sweet and helped me figure out what flavors to try ( I ended up getting 6 flavors lol). The owner Lamar, came out and helped me as well. He told me about all the current flavors and the coming soon flavors as well. Needless to say, Landon's has gained a lifelong customer. This will be my go to. Such a hidden jewel here in La Plata.

The pictures make you excited for the experience but the delivery does not match at all. Charged $10 for a cone that I had to burry my face into due to either over sized cone or not enough ice cream to fill it. My husband got a large - 2scoops and the top scoop looked like a half inside the lid because he got it to go. We were super excited to treat our daughter, luckily hers was fine I guess. Paid for a regular because they were out of kids cups yet other customers got regular cups with kid setting I suppose.

This is the cutest place ever. I had an old bay, caramel waffle cone and it was the BEST ice cream I’ve ever had!! I didn’t think I’d like the flavor but figured I’d try it anyways and I’m so glad I did. The Man had a Rootbeer Float and that too was delicious! We’ll definitely be going back!

SOMD needs LESS places like this. NO WAY this place gets a 4.5 stars.... fake reviews run rampant these days. I've gone ahead and renamed the place to "Blandon's" because the ice cream is freezer burnt and all tastes the same. The employee attitudes are horrendous. No samples but they "will give you a new flavor if you don't like yours"..... then get mad at you when the ice cream is garbage and you ask for a new flavor.... the waste makes no sense.... just offer samples so people know your ice cream is trash before overpaying. Please work on your business or shut yourself down so a better business can move in.

The ice cream was tasty, and lots of selections were available, but it didn't matter because you were not able to taste any of the interesting or new-to-you flavors. I prefer not to pay for something new without being sure I will like it. The waffle cones were really hard and thick at the bottom, and they came in a weird plastic holder that actually made the cone harder to hold. Also, there were no bathrooms allowed for customer use, which was unfortunate as we had come quite a distance. We asked but were told there was no access for customers and told to go to the nearby Dash-in... which was not fun to have to decide "what" to hold since I couldn't do both at the same time.
