Lake Wales Public Library

You will not find a friendlier or more accommodating place in all of Polk County. This library staff goes above and beyond all expectations to service their community. I love walking in their doors and appreciate all the programming they do to serve their community. They are also the longest running local artist gallery in Lake Wales. I truly do love my Lake Wales Library! And I am always honored to have my artwork on display here.

I was in Lake Wales yesterday for the first time in a while. I had to have some material faxed to the library for myself and I come into the library in the young lady at the computer – I guess it is where the computers are at, help me and she’s very kind and she really helped me a lot and I just wanted the library know that they definitely had a young woman in there that was very helpful and I thank her very much for her help

I really like this library. Its a good size, and has separate areas for the children's area, the adult area, and the computer area. They have a small book shop that you can either donate to or buy to support the library. The prices are very reasonable. This library also has a lot of community involvement events. The staff is super helpful and nice. I do wish that libraries in general were open later. And for Polk county libraries in general, I love how many options there are to access books and other library services on my phone

Attended a program last night on the history of food in Florida. Enjoyed it. It wasn't too long and healthy snacks were offered. I come here for Adult coloring most Mondays. I also come here for book club on the 4th Tuesday of the month. This is a great resource for our community not just for books and educational resources but also as a place to socialize. There are many information resources available in person but there's lots of online stuff too. I like the ability to check out books, including audio books online. I like Book Club, adult coloring at the Library and various other programs. In the summertime they usually have lots of programs for kids and families.
