Lake Taco

We have been here before for dinner and always been happy! We just had the pleasure of having our wedding here and it was nothing short of amazing. The staff were welcoming and completely accommodating. Food was amazing as usual. This is a must try if you live in Coventry or close by! Highly recommend!! 🙌

I co hosted my good friends baby shower here and they were so accommodating and wonderful! My only suggestion would be a sail shade for the patio because the sun can be very brutal, but overall so great! They provided the tables, plates, cups and table cloths. I added the runners, flowers, etc. The manager was so helpful! I would say for a buffet next time I wouldn’t have the tables at the seats, mostly because my guests weren’t the brightest 🤣 overall a great experience!

We had such a great experience at Lake Taco! The views of the lake were absolutely stunning—one of the most gorgeous spots we’ve ever had a meal in RI. The food was amazing from start to finish. We started with the chili lime chicken bites (a must-try!), then had the pulled pork sandwich and taco salad—both full of flavor and super fresh. Even the kids’ grilled cheese came on thick sourdough with what looked like hand-cut fries—so good! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the space is incredible. There’s plenty of outdoor seating with a view (easily over 100 people), plus a huge indoor bar and dining area that could host a couple hundred more. Loved this place when it first opened, now it’s just okay. Tacos are great but they need to stop changing the menu so frequently. They keep getting rid of the good stuff. Also, whatever you do, don’t order the apple crisp or blueberry cobbler!!! It’s absolutely vile!!!!!!! To warm the pies, they heat them in the smoker and the apples turn black, and they taste like burning rubber, and the crumble on top taste like a mildewy basement. My husband and I couldn’t even eat it and they still charge us $24. Please don’t waste your money!!!

Lake Taco is located on Tiogue Lake in Coventry, RI. There were plenty of parking and the location is gorgeous. They specialize in BBQ; there is a BBQ pit onsite that was custom built in 2023. They also create delicious mezcal and tequila drinks. There is a patio dining area, a spacious open dining area, and a bar. When we went on Saturday evening, the place was packed and there was live music. The energy was lively and I love that it's kid friendly. We didn't get a server for a few minutes, I think there was a slight confusion as to who was handling our table.
