Lafayette History Museum

We attended the youth ghost tour of Lafayette and we loved it! The weather was gorgeous, and the spots along the way on S. Public often had the beautiful window paintings made by students. Our tour guide was great at keeping the tour not scary, but interesting to young kids (They were about ages 5-10), but let them know some cool history about our town. I hope that all the kids around Lafayette and Boulder can experience this tour.

We often step into the Museum in historic old town Lafayette (Simpson Street). We love showing our children what life was like for people in our town. The LHM does a good job of representing stories across different experiences in Lafayette. The volunteers and museum staff are always very helpful. I definitely encourage everyone to step in a take a look.

Cute little museum, donation based - learned quite a lot in the hour we spent here! Friendly people working there and they offered to give a tour or self guided. Definitely recommend to check it out! We’ve lived in Lafayette 5 years and this was our first visit, worth a visit!

This place was absolutely amazing! I took my friend here, and it was so fun and informational. They had SO many exhibits, including a model of a local coal mine?? Amazing! There were even themed areas, and a few new exhibits on the history of local coal mines! The owners were so nice and friendly, and I'd definitely recommend checking it out. I'll definitely be back soon!
