La Vicharra Peruvian Restaurant

Was looking for a bite to eat after my appointment in the area and came across this gem and decided to try based on the positive reviews. The reviews were spot on! This place provides wonderful service and delicious food as well as generous portions! This is an easy to miss place but it is a must try! Definitely my new favorite Peruvian spot in New York.

Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch special here today. I pulled up, parked right in front, and was greeted right away. The woman who greeted me and took my order was very pleasant. A little language barrier, but that's quite alright. They have daily lunch specials for around $15. I went with the fried fish fillet, which was served with rice and beans, a soup, and a can of soda. The fish was very flavorful, crispy on the outside, and moist on the inside. The rice and beans were great, and I tossed some of the onion and tomatoes in there with hot sauce on top. The soup blew me away. Huge chunks of potatoes, carrots, and beef. The flavor was lightly and almost creamy from how hearty it was, just amazing. Great take out spot. Delicious and affordable. It's my favorite quick dinner run.

Excellent ceviche and yucca. Home made so things take time. Worth the wait. Looks more like a take out place, but we ate in and everthing was delicious.
