La Pizza

#TueDudesEat yesterday we ate at La Pizza located in U-City. The pizza looked amazing, but I opted for the calzone. It was one of the better calzones that I have, but what I liked most was it was sized correctly for one meal. It's not oversized and priced according! Every other calzone I have ever ordered was larger and priced well above this price. There's limited seating, so if you're going to try this place out, make sure you get there before the rush!

Best calzones, best stromboli, best pizza by the slice of by the pizza. But most of all the best service around. Anthony remembered us and was so polite and kind. He even came outside to the car and asked if we were the same people from the rush earlier. Saturday lunch is PACKED because this is the best place around come after 2pm you'll have the best meal of your year until you top it when you come back. The inside gives classic old big city pizza place. Super classical Italian vibes and not too loud with anything but people having a good time if it is busy.

After hearing about this place I finally was able to visit. First off the outside is a little deceiving . It a little bigger inside than it looks. I grew up in New York and once I walked in it reminded me of places I grew up with. I saw the garlic powder on the tables and knew I was in the right place. Spoke with the owner and his godson. Love it. Family place! I looked around at some of the pizza and other stuff like calzones etc. I decided to grab a couple of slices. Again the family was great. Super nice and helpful describing the business as we were talking. Got a few slices and a soda. Very good!! This brought me back to when I was younger. This is the best pizza place I've found in the st louis area. It's a little pricey but well well worth it. Anytime I'm over there I make it a point to stop in. Normally I'm a pepperoni guy but their cheese pizza is so good it's a shame to put anything on it. I can never buy just one. I get them well done and it's exactly what you want. The sauce is good, the cheese is good, and the crust is the best I've ever had. The people inside were super cool. I'd never met them before but the talked with us like we had known each other for years. Only downside is I live 40 minutes away lol.

Fast service, reasonable price for tasty pizza! They sell pizza by the slice. Stop by for lunch sometime.
