La Pinata

Very good for Northern idaho. I am from California where good Mexican food is ubiquitous. Northern Idaho is a different story. Mexican food is easy to prepare (I worked in a Mexican restaurant as a kid) but for some reason it’s hard to find good Mexican here. It’s always rather bland and marginally prepared because Idahoans like bland food I guess. Well, La Pinata is pretty good, not spiced enough, but the flavors are good and the service is great. I stopped in for a late lunch and had two chicken enchiladas, one red sauce and one green. They were quite good if not spicy enough. I preferred the green sauce but the chicken was fresh and tender. For Idaho La Pinata was good. .

Pico de gallo was best ever. So happy to add to my fajita s. Made 5 full corn tortillas shared 3 they were delicious. Beans so good.

Our food was so good! And the service was amazing as well super nice folks we will definitely be coming back! Yum!

Very fancy Mexican restaurant. The food came out very clean looking is how I would describe it. It look like the plating of the food had a lot of work and thought put into it. The food was SO good and the service was SO good. I believe the owner came out and checked on everyone to see how they liked the food. I ordered the La Piñata burrito and my boyfriend got the fajita burrito. Very kind staff and the restaurant was so cute, warm and friendly. Highly recommend. The server was kind and checked on us in good timing.

I got take-out steak fajitas. I payed extra for a 2-person portion. The portion I got was more like a one person portion, including the amount of the sides. That being said, the flavor was very good. The people were nice. The location is an older restaurant location that went out of business that they took over but have not had the full funds to rehab. We will go back for a date-night sit down and see how things go.
