La Dolce Vita - Art & Cafe*

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting the Art Cafe in Red Wing several times, and each visit has felt like a little escape to a charming European café. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and welcoming. Elizabeth, the owner, truly makes the place special. She is joyful, kind, and genuinely engaged with her guests. You can feel the positive energy she brings to the café, and it sets the tone for the whole experience. One of my favorite things about the Art Cafe is their special dinners with fixed menus. There’s something really enjoyable about coming in, relaxing, and letting the evening unfold with thoughtfully prepared courses. What a special place! Crossed the river and parked right outside the front door. As you walk into La Dolce Vita you are greeted by a European ambiance replete with pastry display, light jazz , high ceilings, art hanging from every wall and a Marc Sijan hyper-realistic sculpture overseeing events from her lofty perch. The old style wooden bar runs almost the whole length of the room with a dozen+ soft furnished stools. We attended the ‘soft’ opening and can’t wait for the Opening in early 2026. A new jewel in the Red Wing crown.

*Highly Recommended* We went on Fusion night. The atmosphere with live Chinese harp music and art made for an unforgettable experience! The food is out of the ordinary for Red Wing and delicious.

We spent a nice afternoon in Red Wing and found a gem of a coffee shop/cafe called La Dolce Vita - Art & Cafe. The ambience when we walked in was elegant yet relaxed. The staff were warm and welcoming. We ordered coffees and pastries. The coffees were delicious and the pastries were fresh, light and delicious. They use real whipped cream that isn't overly sweetened and this added to the pure decadence of the pastries. Their menu contained many tempting items including delicious soups made fresh daily. This will definitely be our new go-to spot when in Red Wing!

My partner and I decided to celebrate New Year’s Eve at La Dolce Vita Art & Cafe and it was a wonderful evening! The atmosphere was elegant but had an old world charm that is rare. We were greeted immediately and enjoyed the delicious food and ease of conversation with other customers. Whether you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy a meal or a place to meet new people or have a latte and pastry I highly recommend this wonderful new jewel in Red Wing. I will be back!
