Hanisch Bakery and Coffee Shop

We were not aware of this bakery until we spoke with a local resident. WOW! seriously! We were staying at the Treasure Island Resort and made a day trip to Red Wing. So happy that this bakery made our Red Wing experience ever more special. The donuts and pastries were amazing. Maybe some of the best donuts ever. The fresh breads we purchased were also amazing. If you are in Red Wing you have to make this bakery one of your stops.

Had lunch at Reads Landing Brewing Co and the menu read, bun from Hanish Bakery... then next day heading home from LaCrosse WI to Lindstrom MN, the radio advert starting Hanish Bakery in Red Wing was voted Minnesota's BEST Bakery. We were minutes away and stored in prior to lunch at Smoking Oak. Long line and worth the wait. Sourdough bread so fresh! Very colourful inside, long queue yet so much to gaze at! Filled a box full of assorted baked goods and we were off. Beautiful tasty eats too choice from and found out later...SUPER FRESH & TASTY! We'll definitely visit again y'all! A destination spot for baked goods, ice cream, coffee shop & Cafe. Something for EVERYONE ❤️

OMG seriously! I've been wanting to make the long drive for months- today was the day! And let me say, as a donut snob- BEST DONUTS IVE EVER HAD! Can't even. Bagel breakfast sandwich was also amazing... Excuses to visit Red Wing more coming soon!

A bit bummed with the experience as service was pretty slow and place feels disorganized - no line markers, lots of people milling, and very slow service. Panini had single layer of ham with too many peppers so felt overpriced, coffee and donuts were good but with the long waits just didn't feel like "best bakery in MN" donuts. Dirty Soda was good but cashier gave a big sigh when I ordered one. Cute place in a cute town though.

ordered 7 dozen donuts and pastries. for gathering. they were very accommodating and of course bakery items were delicious. I heard many guests compliments. I will order from them again. They were kind enough to deliver our order to a location (Corner Store Inver Grove Heights) which is close to our home.
