Customer Reviews
La Casita delivers everything you want from a classic Southern Arizona Mexican restaurant—warm décor, authentic ambience, and some of the friendliest service you’ll find anywhere. I ordered a chicken taco and burrito, both looked great. The taco shell was warm and clearly freshly made, and while the tortillas weren’t the best I’ve ever had, they were solid, authentic Mexican style. The burrito’s chicken was a little dry, but still good—probably perfect with sour cream or guac. Then the real magic happened: the waitress came over and offered dessert. I asked for her recommendation, and she told me she’d surprise me. She brought out a warm scone topped with cinnamon, sugar, and a drizzle of honey—and it was absolutely delicious. That dessert alone took this visit from a four-star experience
I do love this restaurant! Very nice atmosphere, decorations, music is quiet so we could talk. Friendly servers. Chip and salsa is brought complimentary to the table, th we y had dome salsa that was very hot like we like. Food comes to you fast and HOT. Portions are huge! I had the 4 mini chili's meal but asked for all of them to be shredded beef instead of half chicken half beef. Comes out topped with Pico and lettuce or you can have a red sauce over it. I ordered no sour cream and guacamole on the side wonderful.my dad ordered Chimi Machacs with the red sauce on top. Giant portions. I recommend this restaurant completely.
We came for a late lunch on a Friday. We were seated very fast and the hostess was gracious and put us in a warm spot. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come to our table to get our order, but she was very friendly and returned with our drinks quickly. The food however, is not so great. We started with a guacamole appetizer. The guacamole seemed like it was avocado that was squeezed out of a tube. It was missing garlic, salt, lime, tomatoes, cilantro, onions. It was literally just avocado paste. We had a few bites, but no one really ate it. That was a waste of $13. I had the cheese enchilada and that was actually quite tasty. But the rice was old and dry and the beans seemed like they came out of a can. I also had a Carne Asada taco and the meat was tough. My husband had some kind o
I went in to give it a try based off by the reviews I read. The review I'm posting today is based on what I ordered. So I ordered the menudo and the steak tacos. Believe me I travel a lot and everywhere I go that's the first thing I do look for menudo and tacos. Well this one here is by far the Worse menudo I have ever had. It's just nasty at least to my experience with other locations. They claim it's home made, more like canned Watered down, flavorless and didn't even look like menudo. The presentation of the tacos was ok,The meat in the tacos same flavorless and really not Mexican looking nor tasting morelike Mexican wannabe American tacos ...🙄🙄🙄... Again I'm reviewing based on what I ordered,so if this was flavorless I can just imagine the rest will not be returning here ever!...
I was brought here by my host for a lunch. Service was good, very welcoming. I was told this was one of the oldest restaurant here in SV. The interior decor does look like it needs a refresh. Food is not bad. The guacamole is fresh and tasty along with the tortilla chips. I ordered a battered fish taco, and I like the option that it can come without the rice/beans. They should come with a pair, but I guess it is more of a miscomm than anything.
