La Casa Del Rey

This was definitely a very amazing dining experience! In town for a concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheater - we chose this restaurant because of the ratings and the pictures posted of the food served there…they did not disappoint! Our server was Jaydah and she greeted us with a smile, was very polite and friendly taking our order, serving our food and taking a little time to connect with us and tell us about the area and things to do. The food was hot and super DELICIOUS! The prices were very good! The atmosphere was clean and welcoming! I ordered the enchilada plate! I had to take one with me because I couldn’t eat it all! The food was decent overall. I wasn’t impressed with the margaritas they were overly sweet and seemed to be missing the tequila. On a positive note, our server was friendly and accommodating, which made the experience better. Because of the great service, I’d be willing to give the place another try.

I ate here years ago and don't remember the food. I ate here again recently, and it was just ok. I prefer everything about another nearby Mexican restaurant. Our beer was nearly room temp, barely chilled. The food was not hot, it was barely warm. Perhaps something wasn't right with the food because I got diarrhea that night and the next day. All the double-paned windows seemed to have their seals broken, and condensation formed between the 2 panes, causing them to look dirty and ugly. I'm likely not to return. Though staff was friendly, there are better places to dine at.

The chili was really good I tried the chicken fried steak and eggs it was not what I should have ordered there that's for sure I thought the atmosphere and the manager were really cool when the waitress took our money I had $100 bill and then she took our credit card as well she took the hundred-dollar bill and bring back change and then rang the credit card for the full bill without asking I was taking my mother out and she was covering the tip of their credit card not supposed to have a 60 $70 on her credit card I gave her the money but it still was a hassle we'll have to try again
