La Cabaña Restaurante y Taqueria

Taco Tuesday at its finest! Mimi and I ventured on a school night to @lacabana_restaurant near Lakeside and it did not disappoint! Cute little vibe with decor to match! We were greeted with smiles as we entered and sat at a table of our choosing, cozy and gives a very welcoming vibe! Our waitress was friendly and allowed us time to look thru the options. We ordered shrimp (2.8/5), carnitas (5/5) and steak (3.9/5) and Mimi opted for chicken (4.5/5) instead of the carnitas and we shared the beans and rice (5/5). All the tacos were plentiful and flavorful but my favorite was the carnitas (Mimi favored the chicken but agreed the carnitas was it) and the corn tortillas were so fresh and warm. The rice and beans also very authentic and flavorful and the rice was fluffy too, both were excellent!

Absolutely fuego! The steak burrito is one of the best I’ve had in Richmond and I love how it’s perfect grilled and the ingredients are spread throughout!

I don’t know about the people posting bad reviews about this place. However, if you are looking for excellent tacos at a great price, this is the place. I had been going to the West End and Richmond downtown, looking for good tacos. In the end, they were just around the corner. Very inviting ambience, nice and clean establishment. The servers are very nice and attentive. They have a really good natural drinks as well as good beer. The tacos are just fantastic. They also have very scrumptious guacamole and the prices are very affordable in comparison to other places advertising great tacos,which in the end suck. Tacos… here… yes!

I went for dinner with 3 other people. My sope with chicken was OUTSTANDING! One of my frirnds got street tacos and they looked great. She said the horchata was delicious. The only waitress was Magdalena. She did her best to keep up, and was kind and professional. It's a small place, so it gets pretty noisy. Go for the food.
