I’ve had lunch there several times and the food was excellent every single time. Fresh, carefully prepared and presented in an unassuming and light atmosphere. It’s not until you experience fresh fish prepared perfectly (seasoning that compliments instead of masking flavors, cooked to temperature and doneness perfection, never soggy or dry, not masked by over frying, and just melt in your mouth delicious) do you understand just how really wonderful and valuable this spot is for Richmond. You will not regret trying this place. And you will definitely go back again and again. Desserts are also made on site and are worth saving room to enjoy. Prices are as expected in Virginia for fresh seafood.

First time going to this place. Love it. They had my full Atlantic Salmon filet ready for me. Curing it now, going to hit the smoker Saturday.

Not a good experience. Went this morning for fresh salmon and tuna. The man assisting me with the fish was nice and helpful. However, when they were going to give me the salmon belly, they weighed it and then told me they could remove the skin. I am new to working with fresh fish from a Market so I asked if they could weight it after they skin the salmon as I assumed that would take a decent chunk of weight off. I pointed out that it would just weigh a lot less than what was weighed when they charged it. The man with white hair who seemed to be the owner was condescending while addressing me. I felt like I was being scolded, it felt inappropriate. After finishing talking to me he went to someone else next to me and said in a belittling way “no one has ever asked me that before” and scoff

The salmon topped salad was absolutely amazing with its slightly crisp exterior and the tender and most succulent center.. These people know how to cook seafood so it doesn’t come out dry and tasteless…You can’t go wrong by stopping in to this little gem,it might just become one of your favorites.

I don't eat seafood but my wife and our friends love this place. They're always friendly and happy to give advice on the food or a wine pairing. I still enjoy going in with her, it's a great shop.
