This is a cute little experimental café that has a wide selection of Southeast Asian flavors integrated with their treats. I loved the kaya waffle, and the flavors from some of the cookies came out very strong as well. The auntie who runs the shop is so lovely and cute!
I've tried other kuih stores in NYC, but this place has the most authentic, homemade taste. The kuih set was delicious - I love how some pieces have that savory saltiness that balances the sweetness and really reminds me of home. The owner was there and mentioned how she makes the kuih herself, and you can really tell it's made with care. At $12 for the set, it's totally worth it for the quality and variety, especially in a city like NYC. This is the real deal! I also spotted someone's Pandan Kaya Toast ice cream and snapped a photo because it looked amazing - definitely trying that next time!
We found this little gem of a bakery on Instagram and fell in love!! The store changes up their menu of what they make each week so be sure to check their Instagram the night before Friday when they post their new weekly offerings. We ordered a custom Pandan Kaya Jam Cake for my mom’s birthday and it was an absolute hit with our guests! We also ordered their Kuih set, which came with Serimuka pandan, Bakar pandan, and Lapis Jagung - all super delicious and not too sweet (huge Asian compliment!). This place has easily become our new favorite Asian bakery in NYC and we will definitely be back for future weekends to try out the other desserts!! :-)
Very nice traditional Malaysian cafe! The lady operates place no nonsense. The Kuih was not overly sweet, which I appreciated. I really enjoyed the pancake which was almost like a crispy crepe, I chose the combination original and Kaya jam flavors. Really delicious snack. Would come back to try other items as well.
This is a lovely and cozy kuih shop in NYC—truly a hidden gem in Chinatown! It’s a family-owned spot, and the owner is incredibly kind and welcoming. She’s exceptionally talented in crafting both savory and sweet treats. I’m a big fan of anything with pandan, and they make the best pandan cake in NYC, along with a fantastic kuih set. The flavors are authentic and not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. The menu changes weekly and is posted on Instagram every Wednesday. You can really feel the care and effort the owner puts into every dish.
