Kroger Bakery

I like the layout to this store and the employees are usually very friendly and helpful. Sharon in flowers went the extra mile to help me by looking for an item I couldn’t find and also ringing me up. SO NICE! Today however was VERY frustrating. For the second time I had a very long wait to return something at the customer service desk. One would think if there’s a delay they’d call for assistance instead of allowing the line to get so long. There were 4 people ahead of me and 4 behind me. When I finally had my turn and shopped I was ready to check out quickly and go home. After a few minutes in the self serve lane I saw a register open up. When I rolled my cart over the cashier said to me in a snotty voice, “this register is closed- I’m putting bags in.” How rude. Arrived at the store 6 minutes to close wanted to run and get one item they wouldn't let me in even though the store is posted to close at 10 p.m. so by law that means that the doors are open both ways until 10 p.m. there was a ton of people still in the store. Manager came out to tell me they close 5 minutes early every night, yet on Google and everywhere else including the store window closing time is 10 p.m. needless to say I won't be going back to that filthy store. And for the record had they posted on the window that they close five minutes early every night I would have no ground to stand on and would simply come back the next day. Welcome to the millennial hours of operation operating hours are 9 ish to whenever we feel like it.
