Knucklehead BBQ

Went here for the first time to try it out. Got a lot of options to give it a good shot. Unfortunately everything was a let down. All the meat was dry. The ribs had an odd taste that I disliked, I tried to finish one. I tried four different sauces that they had. None of them were appealing to me. Nothing set them apart to make you want more. The macaroni and cheese tasted old and dry as well, I think it would be decent if hot. The potato salad was average, missing some flavor. The cornbread was the best thing. At least it was the only thing I ate all of. The service was great. The people were nice and friendly. The place looked clean and inviting. For me this wasn’t even average. If this is a place you enjoy, I think you should check out other places around.

This was my second visit to this BBQ restaurant. Was visiting as a part of a work group of 7 people. I ordered brisket, pulled chicken (dry and no flavor - had to use sauce), succotash (wow!), and mashed sweet potatoes. I was last in line to order. I noticed my brisket was overcooked, dry, and lacked much smoke flavor. The slices were about 3-4 inches long. I got slices from the end of flat. 4 other party members got nice long slices from the middle of flat, looked juicy, nice smoke ring, nice "bend"..appeared to be cooked perfectly. Coincidence? Unluck of the draw? Possibly, but I think not. I mentioned this was my second visit and I got brisket the first visit and my brisket slices were short, dry, and overcooked that time too. We got the ribs and pulled pork sandwich as our main items. The ribs were tender with delicious flavor. The pulled pork had a great smoky flavor. The restaurant was clean. We sat by the fireplace which elevated our experience. Overall wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent bbq. We will definitely be back when in the area.

It's a nice place. They haven't been open long. We like to try new places and support local businesses. We both had the pulled pork, which was very good. I had the Mac and cheese and the collards. Baked M&C was a little dry for my tastes, but still good. The service was very good. They were very helpful. They had both sweet and vinegar based sauces.

Stopped on here for a late lunch. Had not eaten all day so I was starving! The many is quite short, but expected. I know typically BBQ joints are priced high, and I know meat ain't cheap. It was just a lot more expensive than I expected. You also can just order a Sandwich without a side for cheaper. I ordered 2 sandwiches (each come with a side). I got the pulled pork and the brisket sandwich. Both were good, but the brisket was kinda dry. It definitely needed some BBQ sauce to be enjoyed. The pork wasn't as dry, but didn't have a ton of flavor and was definitely better with the sauce on it. The Mac and cheese was good, but I think it could have have been more cheesy. It was a lot more Mac than cheese which was disappointing. It felt like it probably had more cheese when it was made, but
