Inn at Bingham School

Stayed here for my son's graduation and could not have been more pleased. The building was very rustic. Our room, Rusty's, had a king bed, split bathrooms and vaulted ceiling. The stair were a bit steep but not difficult. Rain pelted the roof a couple of nights but did not interrupt our sleep. The television selections were sparse but cable was available in the main living room.||Breakfast each morning was delicious. Christina does a great job in the kitchen. We had pancakes, veggie frutata, and bacon and eggs on various days. The fruit dish, biscuits or scones and orange juice were great additions.||Francois is amazing. He was everywhere from taking our reservations to checking us in at our midnight arrival to serving breakfast to chatting about his gardening work (with Coco).

Stayed one night while passing through after a wedding. Our stay was in Rusty's room on the second floor. For being a very rustic farmhouse, the room was very clean and well appointed. Nice bath linens and robes. The glass covered wall sections allowing you to see some of the original construction is unique. Unfortunately we did not have much time to get to know the owners and we had to hit the road before breakfast so the review is limited tot the room itself.

We chose the 1801 Room which is on the first floor and found it to be very comfortable and had a very pleasant stay at the end. We enjoyed talking to Francois about the history of the school and made us feel right at home for our stay. We had an outstanding breakfast and the chocolate chip scones were delicious. As previous comments say the Inn is historic but has all of the modern conveniences in place. The antiques that were in place were very interesting. Francois made a good place to eat an evening meal in which we had a good dining experience in nearby Saxaphaw. We enjoyed our walk around the grounds. We would stay here again.

The property is well taken care of and beautiful in the spring. It truly forces you to slow down to country speed.||We stayed in the 1801 room which has plenty of space and a beautiful, bright white bathroom with subway tile. Bath tub has digital touch pad for jets and a heated back. It was a perfect way to decompress after a wedding, used it both nights that we stayed.||Breakfast is essentially perfect and the scones are so great they may actually make you cry. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies wait for you in your room at night.||The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because the owner is a little standoffish and wasn't super welcoming.

Public spaces are decorated beautifully and appropriately. The Inn is surrounded with large shade trees and well trimmed lawns. Francois is a well mannered host. We enjoyed talking to him. The breakfasts were delicious with locally grown free range eggs used. Of course, the famous scones were delicious. We plan on returning.
