Klein Tools

I was a die hard fan of Klein tools. I have a screwdriver and a set of pliers that I love. I received an 11 in 1 magnetic screwdriver for Christmas and was so happy because I didn’t own a magnetic screwdriver. Well today I tried it out and it didn’t work. I called Klein tool customer service and they were useless. They wanted a receipt date of purchase and for me to return it where I bought it. I tried to tell them it was a Christmas gift and it was a screwdriver for Pete’s sake. They could not care less. I’m so disappointed in this company I once loved. Don’t buy their tools if you expect help after the sale.

As a homeowner and serious DIYer, I’ve always respected USA-made tools—especially those backed by a lifetime warranty. That’s why I bought a set of Klein fish sticks in 2013. I don’t work in the trades, but I invest in quality gear that lasts. Or so I thought. In 2025, I pulled out my Klein fish sticks and found the ends coming off multiple rods. Defective. I called Klein Tools expecting a simple warranty replacement. Instead, I got a masterclass in corporate runaround. Call #1: I was told Klein’s policies had changed. Their “lifetime warranty” didn’t mean my lifetime—it meant the tool’s lifetime, which they decided had expired. I asked to speak with a manager. I was told they were closing in 15 minutes and I’d need to call back the next morning. Call #2: I spoke with a supervisor named

Use to love buying Klein but since they are selling at a terrible distributor like Lowe's it's down hill from there. Best of luck but buying Milwaukee where home Depot stands behind product and replacing no questions asked.
