Customer Reviews
I’ve been to over 50 parks in the 11 contiguous counties over the past seven years and although not the best this is definitely in my top five parks. The concessions are rarely open, but when they are open, prices are decent. Bathrooms for a public park are relatively clean. Changing tables even. I like that there’s different parks for different age groups. That’s not something you see very often there is a sand pit area near the youthful under seven crowd component of the park. The giant rock in the middle of the playground is a fun place, but all my kids of all ages enjoy. There are surrounding amphitheaters and mini soccer fields and basketball fields that make this park. Definitely top five of the area.
Kirkwood park is a little gem of a park! It has a great walking trail around the lake that I throughly enjoyed. The children’s park is well maintained and the splash pad is fun for the kiddos. There are grill tables and picnics spots available for daytime use. We had snow cones in the park concessions. Easy access from the road.
Beautiful park and newly renovated service center!
Walker Lake is pretty and has a nice walking path to enjoy the views. There is a pretty wildflower area on the north side, and cute sculptures of turtles. There are natural-surface walking paths and a creek on the east side of the park too.
Great safe place for the kids. Sand bar is always clean, in fact every time we are there the whole park is impeccable. They have a toddler playground and an older kid playground. They also have a water fountain play pad for hot days. During the summer there is a SNOW CONE shack open! Amazing.
