Expensive for what you get. Not recommended. This bowl was $16.50. About the same amount of fish as other places. Every side is $1.30 extra. They even charge extra for ginger and basic sides that every other sushi place includes in the base price. Atmosphere is a parking lot with a picnic bench.
It's a tiny poke shop serving fresh Hawaiian-style poke. There's limited parking space available and a line waiting outside. There are no seats indoor but there are three tables outside, so I'd suggest it's better to order to go. I ordered the regular size original sauce tuna salmon and octopus. The sauce isn't flavored enough so I would recommend the other source. The fish is fresh though. The portion for a regular size is not too big, enough for ladies but probably not for guys.
Came here a few months ago and my husband and I loved it! Super fresh and sauces were really good. We just came today and it was not the same at all!!! It didn’t taste fresh, portions seemed smaller, and just didn’t taste the same as before. My husband got the #7 which is tuna, salmon and octopus so you’d expect it to be loaded on top the rice but he literally had such a small portion that he finished it and then had so much rice leftover. He also didn’t even like it at all this time. We spent $50 on two large plates and just ate as much as we could so we didn’t feel like we wasted $50. I got the tuna and salmon, and the tuna just was too rubbery and tasted old. Not sure what happened to the quality this time.
This has got to be some of the best poke in SoCal! Their fish is super fresh and the sauce doesn't mute the flavors of the fish. Everything is added carefully and you can choose any topping you want to add in making the meal very filling if you get a large! I left their ahi, salmon, octopus combo. It was so good!
Sometimes you rely on reviews and end up really disappointed—and this was one of those times. The fish itself wasn’t terrible, but for the portion size you get for lunch, the price is just unreasonable. If you add everything you want, your poke bowl can easily go over $30. And it’s not even like you’re dining in a cool, comfortable restaurant—this is a to-go spot, and you still have to tip. When two people order, you’re looking at around $70. That just doesn’t make sense to me. You order outside, wait outside, pick up the food, and bring it home to eat—does that experience really justify a $70 meal? I don’t think so. I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are plenty of other spots where you can get better food for less. Why bother?
