I heard about this place from several people on the other side of NC. It is a great spot if you’re in Emerald Isle I took myself out to dinner while on a break from the mountains. The hostess gave me a wonderful table (a four-top!) and my waiter Chris was great! Perfect classic martini and he brought some nice bread and oil and balsamic for dipping! The shrimp bisque was excellent; I could taste every ingredient! The perfectly sauced fillet mignon was excellent; served with a slightly sweet root vegetable risotto and asparagus. I also got a side of crispy, fresh oysters that were perfectly fried. This is a small, delicious restaurant with excellent service and even off-season, it was full of happy customers!
Fantastic! Starting with the Bartenders! They know their stuff and really on point getting the tons of hand crafted beverages out quickly. I had a waterlilly martini. Some of new and delicious. We sat down to a lovely dinner. Excellent waiter. Hubby had Pork tenderloin with sweet Thai chili sauce, smashed potatoes, and roasted corn relish. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had penne pasta with sundried tomato pesto cream with blackened chicken. Absolutely yummy. Only change I would make would be to order the sauce on side. A bit heavy for me. This is a lovely place for a special occasion or drink with a friend. Thank you Kathryn’s for a lovely evening.
The selection of martinis was great and all of them that we tried delicious. Food was cooked perfectly and flavor spot on. Would definitely recommend eating or grabbing a few drinks here!
The staff, bottom to top, were so accommodating and made our 7-year-old dinner companion feel so special. 🍸 Martinis (we tried 3 different) were awesome and the food was delicious. 7-year-old that can be extremely picky loved the grouper bites app and was very happy with the buttered noodles and bread. This is exactly what I was expecting out of this place. Very happy!
Kathryn's Bistro and Martini Bar is perhaps the most expensive restaurant to dine at on the entire island and its in a strip mall. Unfortunately youll never know how expensive it is ahead of time because they don't post prices on their online menu like almost every other restaurant around them because they are trying to hook you. They advertise themselves as a Bistro but charge fine dining prices. I personally saw a father in shock after looking at the menu. He ate nothing so his family could eat. My wife and I went there for our 10 year anniversary and I made it known to the hostess. We went there mid week off season and with many tables and window seats available however they chose to seat us in the back of the restaurant next to where all the servers come and go. Dinner was nothing spe
