Karvelas Pizza Co. Opelika

Probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had. We were very excited for this place. Looks great, nice atmosphere heard good things. Service could use some work, were told 30 min wait on a table but after someone left we had to go ask to be sat there about 10 min in. Fried pickles were awesome, best I’ve had. Pizza was burnt black and grey on the bottom, had a very odd taste on the grey area, looked like ash. But the top of the pizza was a soup and raw. Also the pepperoncini we got on top were whole, as big as the slice with stems on. $50 for 1 drink, 1 pizza, 1 fried pickles order. I would rather have gas station pizza.

First the food: Pretty tasty food. The 10 wings had a medium sauce and the pizza was the Magnolia pie. we ordered more food for us than normal because we wanted leftovers. Value: After a pizza , wings and two cokes, and a 20% tip, the bill was over 60 bucks. Kind of pricey but not outrageous. Atmosphere: It's more of a family atmosphere, unlike Dough Pizza which is more of a pub atmosphere. For that price I'm gonna hit Dough for my pizza fix in Opelika . Service was fantastic and friendly

Food is great. I really enjoy the specialty works pizza. We also had a basic pepperoni that was simple and delicious. Wings on Monday are an amazing deal and the draft bar is worth the visit.

Glad to finally have a NY style pizza in this area, but my favorite item here is the Hot Parm chicken bites with fries. The ranch is delicious as well. I heard they had cheese fries but didn’t see it on the menu.

Full transparency, my last name is Karvelas. I’m a brother, but I’m not involved in the business in any way beyond being a paying customer. That said, the food is awesome every single time. Great pizza, great flavors, and consistently solid quality. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxed, and a place you actually want to hang out. I genuinely love it and would recommend it to anyone looking for great pizza and a great experience.
