Karavalli Latham

One of many great meals at Karavalli. Seems to get better all the time. Quiet when we arrived for an early reservation. Seated promptly, a bit difficult to get a waitperson at first but after that great service. The waiter/bartender took extra care either a cosmopolitan order placed a certain way and took it upon himself to add a bit of an ingredient not normally included. It was wonderful. For an appetizer rather than the usual fried fare we shared a spring dosa, sort of a large pancake filled with veggies and a bit of cheese. Delicious. Dinner was vegetables Malabar for one of us…..vegetables in a mild coconut based curry. Plentiful vegan options and the service was incredible!! Our server told us that 70% of their menu is vegan/vegetarian! They also had Dosas the size of a small child! We were well taken care of and will definitely be back!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’ve been 3 times and ordered takeout once. Every time has been fantastic! Quality food, amazing service, and very clean. They make a huge effort to make sure you have a great experience and I always have. If you haven’t tried this place, you definitely should.

Food was great. Service lacked a little, I wanted to order a second drink, but they never came back for me to get another. Staff was curious and nice. Food was prompt, and delicious. Other than the second drink, everything was amazing. Edit: they have a very large vegan and vegetarian menu, didn’t realize this was posted in the vegitarian section. Everything we ordered can be ordered in those sections.

I ordered the tamarind margarita; hubs ordered the old fashioned. I got the chicken korma and veggie samosas, hubs got the goat chettinadu and garlic naan. Both drinks and food were phenomenal! I’ve never had Indian cuisine this good, nor have I had a margarita this delicious. The entire meal was a sensory experience. Our server, Akil, was kind, attentive, and a lovely conversationalist. We will happily return soon!
