Dotty Lou's BBQ @ Galleria 7 Market

The best BBQ in the capital region. I tried several BBQ places in Albany and Troy but Dotty Lou's takes the cake. I have ordered take out from them several times over the course of 2025 and it was exceptional. Anytime I call them and ask questions or make a minor change to my order they are friendly. Wonderful service. The only minor critique I have is I wish the brisket's and pork belly fat was rendered slightly more. Otherwise it is incredibly delicious. I will continue to order and hope to come in person someday soon to comment on the atmosphere.

This is the best BBQ in the area, the staff are amazing and truly deliver high quality meals. Some of the best Brisket and Beans I've ever had. Also has great pulled pork and mac n cheese. Recently had limited time Beef Ribs and it might've been one of the best things I've eaten overall. The beef rib was so tender and just fell off the bone and melted as I ate it. Also have to add I'm not sure which Mustard it was, but one of them is literally liquid gold and went greatly with the beef rib.

We had our 180-person wedding catered by Dotty Lou's BBQ a month ago and we cannot recommend them enough. Joe and his team make absolutely incredible food, were incredibly professional and helpful. They went above and beyond to understand our vision for our reception and ensure that our guests had a fabulous meal. So many of our wedding guests have raved to us about how much they loved the food- many of them saying that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Highly, highly recommend Dotty Lou's for catering your next event and of course for dinner any night of the week.

Dotty Lou’s BBQ is one of those places you leave already planning your next visit. We went about a year ago and I still think about the food regularly — which says a lot coming from a busy mom who barely remembers what she had for breakfast. Everything we ordered was incredible, but the wings were absolutely to die for. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and the kind of wings that make you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how good they are. And then there was the banana pudding… which my son Jameson basically claimed as his own. I’m pretty sure he would have happily eaten the entire bowl if we let him. Absolutely incredible barbecue. I seriously have no words for how good this was. The brisket was phenomenal, full of flavor, and cooked so that it was falling apart soft. The wings - we picked Alabama White Sauce - were quite good as well, crispy, and the sauce was delicious. I love crinkle fries but can never find ones cooked right- apparently the secret is beef tallow! I could have eaten these myself, but shared with the husband. Finally, the banana pudding.
