While the service and setting was good, I can’t say the same about the food. First I ordered a beef and lamb Gyro, the fries were terrible, but the worst part was the meat which had no flavor whatsoever. I had to get a salt packet to season this food because there was absolutely none on this meat. I honestly couldn’t taste the food. 2nd, my wife ordered a gyro platter, it came with no sauce, which she had to pay $1.75 extra. Then it had no flavor like how hard is it to throw on a little seasoning. Lastly, seriously, white rice on a platter? Every other greek place I’ve been to served delicious yellow rice. It’s like this place hates flavor.
The place is very cool. The gyro I ate was the most delicious I've ever had. The staff are very friendly.
If you’re in Morristown, you have to try Kalimera Gyro! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel completely welcome. The service was genuinely warm, attentive, and fast. The food was absolutely incredible. The gyro meat was perfectly seasoned, tender, and sliced fresh. The pita was soft and warm, and the tzatziki sauce was creamy, garlicky, and full of flavor. The portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and high quality. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. It’s rare to find a place that combines authentic, delicious food with such friendly, welcoming service. This is easily one of the best spots in town for Greek food. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again! Highly recommend!
The gyro here is good but the sides aren’t that great. The meat is fresh off the spit and is awesome. Lamb and beef is better than the chicken. The sides I had were average though. The lemon potatoes were taken out of the container and microwaved and that was it. They were dry and not much lemon flavor. Service was quick and and the place overall wasn’t bad. Staff was friendly too. I’d come back again but only for the gyro.
Food was bland. Lamb was burnt (see picture) which was unexpected considering it is a $19 platter. The platter package was hidden between other food items so didn’t realize till I got home. Rice and side salad was not fresh. Won’t be visiting again.
