Kagura Gardena

Went to Tokyo Central Gardena for lunch and found this tonkatsu place. Very tasty place in a food court! Ordered demi glazed pork tonkatsu. It came with rice and miso soup. The katsu was soft and tender. Highly recommended. Found the demi glazed pork tonkatsu underwhelming. Too sweet for my taste.

I had the tonkatsu (pork) set with rice and miso. Overall the food is a 3.9/5, by no means is a bad score. If you are within a 15-20 min drive this place I definitely recommend checking it out, the store that this spot is in has a great variety of Japanese imported goods which is worth exploring on its own. The crispness of the cutlet is a 3.5/5. Overall the flavor of the curry is good with a very little hint of spice. It’s not a wait to be seated place. The location has a separate area if you want to sit down and enjoy the food there. Atmosphere does do a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to the meal . Food is worth its price, but doesn’t standout in a particular way that will make you want to come back for the curry alone, you won’t be disappointed by any means.

Super delicious Japanese katsu rice! Their rice is already better than most places since I'm pretty sure they use Tamaki rice. Katsu was very crispy and well done. Recommend getting a side of curry, it's good too. Seating might be tricky because this Tokyo Central location doesn't have much seating, so you might need to sit outside.

Regular loin cutlet at a good price . They also have Demi glaze sauce on the side or curry sauce. Generous portion of cabbage underneath. Bit of a wait due to take out orders.

This place always service great tonkatsu! The katsu is always crispy outside and tender in inside. They nailed down the formula. Don’t be fooled by the appearance that the place is located in the food court. They food is great!
