Chikara Mochi

I love how beautiful everything is presented, truly works of art! Always fresh and delicious, so go early because they sell out quickly! Two versions of the Sakura mochi (not pictured because I forgot) are elegant and give you options for the traditional anko or the shiroan. You can count on polite, prompt service with each visit. They are CASH only, which I usually forget. Please go and support this small business that has been a Gardena favorite for decades!

This place is a gem! Glad I found it. The young lady who helped me was so kind. She gave me some mango mochi and it didn't make it pass the light. Lol! Thank you! Will definitely be back.

Amazing colors and flavors. What I like the best is they're not too sweet like a lot of other mochi places are (including that famous one in LA Chinatown). Parking is a bit dicey and a bit scary merging back into traffic but mochi is worth it.

It's like a little Japan that got in LA. This mochi shop is authentic and has such exquisite mochi made by Japanese. It was sold out 3hrs when we bought the last few of it. We bought the assorted 12 pieces and it tasted just like Japan version.

BEST wagashi in the West Coast indeed! I waited to try the other wagashi place we found in the Sacramento area before reviewing this place and therefore we conclude, they have the best mochis! Staff is super friendly and kind 😭 would really love to go here again if ever we are down in SoCal!
