Small, kind of fancy restaurant. It was a bit dark in there. Food was good but not spectacular - especially for the price tag. The toro bowl was fresh nonetheless, and the chicken has an interesting twist with sake marinade. The shiso flavor definitely does not work in the dumplings though. Will I come back? Maybe - I can try the hot entrees, the price tag is more reasonable.
I didn’t really know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The cocktails were bright (yuzu spritz & matcha fizz) which paired nicely with the rich mussels and pasta. I was a big fan of the tuna pate - especially the lightness of the wonton chip. I would skip the pork belly. Mussels were solid. I think the pasta was perfect without the add-ons, and was rightfully noted on the menu as a signature dish. I’d definitely come back for more!
Our favorite restaurant ever! Staff/owners are so sweet, beautiful atmosphere, and best menu! Every dish is fantastic. Been here 4 times now and am always blown away. Easily best quality fish in/around boston; the toro is a must try!
Ordered from here twice. Once dine in and one takeout. The flavors here are outstanding, and all their ingredients are sourced fresh. I especially loved the miso ribs which wasn’t on their in-person menu but was available online! The swordfish and cabbage were also very flavorful and overall delicious. Definitely worth a try!
I recently visited a izakaya restaurant wanted to share my thoughts. The food was okay, nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable. I tried a few different small plates, Sake was good. I found the overall experience to be decent. The atmosphere was cozy, which is typical for an izakaya setting. It's a good spot if you're looking for a casual place to grab a bite and a drink. A little bit pricey though.
