There was long line at its grand opening. We gave up. Finally we come here on weekday and hurray, no wait! Not easy to find street parking at Princeton, but still manageable. I like the restaurant. It’s bright, simple, lively, and clean. Staffs are polite. We ordered their famous Kiseki pancakes with fruit, egg Benedict with smoked salmon, matcha latte and hot coffee. Pancakes were so soft, fruits were fresh and the cream was so fresh and tastes so good. I usually don’t like egg Benedict because I don’t like English muffins, but this one came with pancake, even not the Kiseki style, but so soft. The lettuce was so fresh. That is big plus for me. I really don’t like some other bigger breakfast restaurants give the lettuce to the customers even they already turn pink or brown. Coffee is so g
Yummy breakfast spot. The soufflé pancakes were so good. They also warned that the wait could be long for them but it really wasn't. The fried chicken was also really good. Maybe the best fried chicken ive ever had? Definitely recommend, will be back.
Amazing pancakes! Loved the matcha one. Other people in our group had strawberry cream and chocolate and everything was delicious. We also got the omelette. The portion sizes are pretty small.
J.S. Foodies Tokyo is a fun new rival to PJ’s Pancake House, and judging by the line outside, everyone in Princeton knows it. The moment you step inside, it feels like you’ve been transported to a small Asian corner cafe — cozy, bright, and buzzing with people. The space is pretty small, so expect to wait. We waited about 25 minutes before being seated. The food overall was okay — it definitely leans toward a Japanese interpretation of Western comfort food. The sandwiches and burgers were decent, but nothing that really stands out. However, the kiseki pancakes are the real star here. They are incredibly fluffy, airy, and delicious. Since they cook them fresh, it takes about 30 minutes for the order to come out, so it actually becomes the main dish rather than a dessert. But honestly, it’s
This is the spot to hit if you want real Japanese soufflé pancakes. Warning: if you come at peak times on the weekend, you may need to wait on hour for the pancakes as they only have so much flat top space and it needs to be made to order. Tip: order a sandwich or fried chicken to snack on as you wait for the pancakes. I brought my daughter on a weekday and there is no wait and it is much more civilized. We both loved the fried chicken. I also loved the matcha pancakes. I previously ordered the fruit pancakes but I preferred the matcha ones.
