Joseph's Trattoria Downtown

Absolutely delicious food and the staff was amazing. Showed up a little early and sat at the bar before my group arrived and also had a cup of the daily soup (Italian), and it was amazing. The cup is a great size as a "app" as well, I could only imagine the portions of the bowl being enough for a dinner in and of itself. Its also close to the metro, so as someone who took a train to the location- very convenient and easy to find.

We came here for dinner and had such a nice experience. We loved that the food was fresh and made to order and that you can actually tell your dinner is being made from scratch. The atmosphere is nice for conversations and the service was great. The mignon was delicious 🤤. Cannot wait to come back !

This was one of the best meals my wife and I have had in years. Bob's service was really special as well. He made our night one to remember. To start with, the bread was out-of-this-world. It was piping hot, and really airy. They use very fruity, fresh olive oil that complements the bread really nicely. We started with the fonduta, which was phenomenal. They cheese they use is super unique and was well-made/flavored. We were also impressed with our mains, Pasta Alla Norma and a chicken dish that I forgot the name of. Both were cooked beautifully, and spiced very well too. The pear/balsamic sauce balanced the chicken dish very well, and the pasta was fresh and well-cooked.

After my inauguration, my family and I dined at Joseph's Trattoria, and it truly is a gem. The food was outstanding authentic, savory Italian cuisine made with care and depth of flavor. The mocktails were excellent, thoughtfully crafted, and a great option for the whole family. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, striking the perfect balance. As a family of six, seating and noise level matter to us, and this restaurant delivered on both. There was ample, comfortable seating, and the noise level was just right not too quiet, not too loud making it enjoyable for everyone, including a family member who is sensitive to excess noise. I believe 5 stars are reserved for the best meals of your life. But if I could give 4.5 I would. This is such a hidden local gem. Great service and delicious food. The fonduta cheese appetizer is indulgent in all the best ways. Definitely make a reservation because it can be quite busy on the weekends. Great place for a special meal.
