Joseph Putrello Coffee

I bow to the European way of presentation, aesthetics, as much as I do to the awesome service. One of THEBEST coffee drinks I've had in decades...the coffee is extremely high quality. My macchiato with pistachio whipped cream generously foamed over in the right cup. Joe's leaves so many places in the dust...and I've lived in Brazil, France and travelled to Italy. You feel transported to somewhere between Italy, L.A. and N.Y.C.

A nice treat in downtown Utica, not far off the Thruway I-90. The panini sandwich was good for a light lunch. Then we enjoyed the fancy cold espresso drinks and desserts. Our drinks looked just like the ones pictured online and tasted amazing!

I have been going to Joseph Putrello Coffee for the past 3 years almost everyday. The staff does an excellent job with their attention to detail on the presentation of the drinks as well as the friendliness and professionalism. I am thrilled with the high quality products they use here. The owner has explained to me the process and also the high end ingredients it takes to make these drinks. The owner Joseph also went to Italy to learn the proper method in how these drinks are made, from the espresso to your traditional black coffee. I will continue to go here for many years to come. I stop by at this place occasionally. Their pastries are always tasty and the Vienna coffee is a nice treat. Great atmosphere, though I think the staff could be a bit friendlier. It is a good spot to enjoy something sweet and savory with coffee.

The service and calming atmosphere was amazing. You can tell the drinks are each crafted with care, aswell as the pastries which are just as impressive. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, I recommend stopping by- this place won’t disappoint you.
