Jolly Roger's Diner

Love the counter seating and friendly service. It’s a real local neighborhood friendly luncheonette/diner. The pancakes are huge and the local coffee is served hot and fresh. What a great find. The potatoes are very good and the egg sandwich was just fine with cheese and bread of your choice.

The food is pretty good. Though I felt like the homemade hash was lacking corned beef. We just had to wait a while for service. It seems like they haven't figured out a true rhythm. Our server was young and appeared to lack some general experience of serving (checking the order before bringing it to the table to make sure it's correct, grab someone's drinks while running by to put an order in for another customer, make sure the table waiting at least has menus) It's a small place that has a lot of potential.

I woke up craving breakfast hash with potatoes and peppers and onions for some reason. This is a good diner and they have an omelette with a mid size portion of steak and peppers and onions and potatoes. This is also the kind of diner where no one ever comes in here who hasn't always come in here unless someone who always comes in here has a kid, I think. Nice folks. Not rude or anything but I could feel the surprise. Still... if I was gonna spend the rest of my days in northborough, I could do worse than coming in here every week on payday and getting this omlette.

So far I have been here twice and everything has been great. The first time I went, I seen they had homemade sausage patties. I got one with my breakfast and I must say it was actually homemade. And very good as well. Best thing I have found on the menu, the corned beef hash omelette, which has real corned beef not that canned stuff. Cooffee is hot and very good as well. The service was wonderful as well from all the staff cooks top of the line. Keep up the great work Jolly, Rogers and thank you for the great food and service.
