Johnnies Dog House and Chicken Shack

I first went to Johnnie’s in Wayne PA in the early 2000s. I was lucky enough to have grown up on the same street and could walk there in 2 minutes with my parents. I have always remembered even 20+ years later how good Johnnie’s hot dogs was. It holds a special place in my heart; I have tons of fond memories eating at Johnnies in Wayne with my friends, parents and grandparents. Today at 30 years old i visited the Delaware location and it did Not disappoint! It was just as good as I remember ….. my husband loved it. He got the New Yorker hot dog and a chicken sandwich. We were so pleased with our food it truly is the best hot dog around and still my favorite even all these years later. Thank you Johnnie’s!!!!

Great veggie dogs. Have been craving a Chicago dog since we moved to Delaware. Would have been perfect with poppy seed bun. Old place but very clean. Friendly staff. Can't wait to go again

Update. Visited again and this time I had the chicken. It took a while since they were frying it as soon as they took my order but it was hot and fresh. Had a breast and the wing and breast was juice and not dry. It was good. We will be back again, next time I want to dry the other types of hot dog and topping. We will have to come back here again. Have to try the chickens next time. We had the hot dogs and cheese burger here and it was great. What you expect from a hot dog and the fries and tater tots we had were tasty as well. The staff were friendly and the dining area was clean. A little outdated but they had high chairs for kids too. Not a big space as most people tend to take out or don't take long to eat. Worth checking out if you are craving some hot dogs.

Food was great. Chilli dog was amazing. Exactly what was expected. But the restaurant itself was in terrible condition. You can tell they hadn't swept at all. There was a piece of a hotdog on the floor near the bathroom, trash all over the floor. It was just generally bad. Not gonna HD it against them cause it was only 2 guys working when I went, and id still definitely go again for the food. But I definitely hope it improves
