I grew up on Jojo's and have never been disappointed. We drove from Philadelphia on a school night to celebrate our son's 10th birthday who requested Italian for dinner. When eating at Jojo's it is important to pace yourself and have a plan. The menu is extensive and the food is fresh. Be prepared to have leftovers or share what you ordered.
Walked in to order a cheese steak and fries The women at the counter ( heavy set , Spanish women ) greeted me with all acts of kindness . I placed my order they said it would be ready in 10 minutes . I waited in the lobby for my order . After 10 minutes my Order was received, went home to sit down with all expectations of enjoying my CHEESE STEAK simply because I ordered the same order previous on many occasions and I always enjoyed ! NOT THIS TIME AROUND. Seemed like the steak was STEAK’UM out the box , the Cheesesteak was cold and lacked quality .. I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. ITS A HIT OR MISS
Came here for lunch and wasn’t disappointed especially when it turned into happy hour! Big portions, and everything was delicious! We had leftovers! Our food was also fresh. Our waitress was patient and attentive, no complaints! If I’m ever in the area again, I will certainly be back. The prices are decent as well.
Garlic shrimp siciliano at $23 a scampi sauce was too watery with not enough flavor. Special garlic spinach pepper chicken sandwich with fries $18 Under cooked bread was soggy and falling apart French fries not being drained were so wet and soggy and thrown in a cardboard box with the sandwich. Grease was all over the box. Chicken was so thin and small with no flavor.A far cry from when it was once a great place to eat with never having a bad meal. Whoever is in charge now is doing a poor job of trying to keep the same quality as it once was. The way the food is now and far less customers I can't see them being able to keep the doors open much longer !
Ask for Eddie. Best hardest working server. The bartender is great too. The food is amazing. Best shrimp Sicilian I've ever had. Wings are excellent. Chicken meatballs Florentine special was phenomenal. Wish I got more than 4 super ball sized meatballs for 17 bucks but that's the prices of today. Pay the most, get the least. Chicken flatbread portion was a good value for happy hour. And the grandma's pizza was one of the best I've ever had. This place is aces all around. Highly recommend.
