Jin’s fine Asian cuisine sushi bar (brookline)

Really disappointing - was expecting good things from what seemed to be a neighborhood staple. overall, food lacked flavor and substance, especially the sushi. Service was incredibly slow, didn’t get our water until the end of the meal (we had a reservation, and were right in the middle of the restaurant). Won’t be returning. Hot and Sour Soup was really good though…

Spectacular! Had a Lagunitas IPA, pork and shrimp dumplings, and the Hunan Spicy Duck. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent! First time, but I'll be back soon!

I have only sampled the extensive Chinese menu and delight in the large portions and great flavors. Have yet to try their sushi! What really keeps me coming back to Jin's, though, is the quality bartending - large martinis and Manhattans that go great with Szechuan dishes!

Excellent food and equally good service. We ordered the hotpot with potatoes and asked to have some extra veggies added. Our server gave her honest opinion regarding which veggies would be better left out and what worked with the potatoes. The hotpot was delicious. The veggie dumplings and the sushi was also very good. My favorite was the hot and sour soup. It was delicious, very tasty and comforting. I would definitely recommend this place!

We loved everything about this restaurant -- the ambiance is relaxed yet visually elevated, the staff was attentive and courteous, and the food was delicious. I had the spicy cumin lamb, and my wife had the house fried rice. We shared some pan fried dumplings as well. Everything was tasty, and the prices were super affordable especially considering the enormously generous portions. We can't wait to come back again or even grab to go at the end of a long day!
