I stayed at the Beech Tree Inn with my mother in 2011 or 2012 and had such a great experience that I booked it again on a couple recent work trips to Boston. It was just as lovely as I had remembered, and the Inn manager, Jannette was very welcoming. I found communicating with Jannette to book and arrange my arrival very easy.||||Without a doubt my favorite part of staying here are the round-the-clock baked goods available in the kitchen! Nothing beats arriving and snacking on a piece of banana bread or whatever other treats Jannette has waiting. The breakfast is great – toasts, baked goods, cereal, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, etc. I loved the overnight oats so much I started recreating them at home. The porch off the dining room is the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast for heading out for t
The Beech Tree Inn (yes, there is a big beautiful beech tree in the front yard) is a converted Victorian-era house with about a dozen rooms. We stayed in the Mockingbird, which is spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated (four-poster bed, wallpaper with a bird design, decent furniture that isn't cookie-cutter, and a cat statue that surprises you when you open the door). All the fixtures worked fine (maybe the shower door could use a little adjusting, but who cares really). It was a super-cozy place to snuggle up at the start or end of a day. The only jarring note was the television set with its standard lineup of bad cable channels. I would love to have just had Netflix or Prime or a DVD player (there were lots of DVDs in the downstairs common rooms).||||The staff members we met wer
My husband and I came into town to see a concert at the Agganis Arena and stayed at Beech Tree for 2 nights. We had the Grand Parlor room which was very spacious and lovely. It had a nice private bathroom with a huge shower. The bed was so soft and comfortable which I loved. However, if you prefer a firm mattress, you may not like it so much.|The B and B itself was nice. It's not like your typical B and B where the owners are on-site. From like 8pm until the morning, there's no one there but the guests. The breakfast provided in the morning was delicious... homemade yogurt and muffins, cereal, bread and bagels to toast, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal and scones (which my husband loved). The only thing I would have liked was more fresh fruit besides just the bowl of apples. They also have coffee
Do yourself a favor and stay at this beautiful romantic place. We were 5 (2 adults and 3 teen agers) so we booked 2 adjacent rooms. ||The Inn is superbly located close to 2 Green Line stops. Huge assortment of home-made cookies and cakes is available at all times on the kitchen table. Breakfast is generous (our vegan needs were addressed as well) – and the staff was very welcoming and kind. Kate's recommendations and directions were especially helpful.||Beds were comfortable, showers were fun, and stock of bottled water was waiting in the room. We asked to leave our suitcases at the Inn after check out – and they also have an excellent arrangement to handle that. So highly recommended…
My stay at The Beech Tree Inn was wonderful. I stayed in the Bird's Nest which is a single room with a shared bath on the first floor. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was a wonderful place to come home to after a long day of sightseeing! Breakfast every morning was delicious with a wide variety of choices including a freshly baked bread or coffee cake, and the kitchen counter was full of baked goodies throughout the day in case you wanted a snack! Janette was so helpful and welcoming, and it was fun to pet her sidekick Asti on the way into breakfast every morning :) The St. Paul's T stop was only a few blocks away (note there are 2 St. Paul's stops on different lines, so make sure to use the one closest to the Inn!), which made getting around easy and convenient. I would highly
