I felt the Kuro Shio ramen was ok. It wasn’t as flavorful as I’d like. We did also get their plum wine that I loved. It was perfectly sweet and very delicious. They have so many other items on the menu I’d love to come back and try. Service was great and it was a cozy ambiance, perfect for winter
Dined in for the first time after always doing takeout and had a great experience - very cozy. I love the kimchi ramen and the classic tonkatsu they really are some of the best I have ever had. Great value and friendly staff. Will return!
Friday Jan 2, When a place puts the menus on the table for the four of us to hand out ourselves, ok When I order hot sake and you leave 4 cups and don’t serve us, ok The kakuni Phillipine style ramen broth was salty and COLD, starting to get disappointed Never checked on us, which at this point I’m not surprised noodles were very good Pork was delicious My friend liked their veggie ramen The hot sake tasted weird, very lemony Service like this is why I’m tipping 8-10%, its not a charge or requirement, it’s based on the service, not the bill
Very busy place, highly recommend to reserve a table well in advance. Warm and fresh food, tastes incredibly good. One star less for the delay and slow processing but its because of the huge demand they have. Overall an 4/5.
Food was not great. The poached egg was barely poached and it looked raw. I was going to let it be but my partner asked the server if I could get a soft boiled egg instead since it was too raw. The server said that they don’t do substitute for any of their dishes. I feel like I understand but also I don’t because, again, the poached egg was basically raw, the egg whites didn’t even fully cook at the edges before they placed it onto my bowl. When I cut into it, that’s what it looked like in the picture (the brown is pork fat). We also asked for hot water since it was very cold outside and they said they didn’t serve that. Only green tea or water without ice.
