Jenks Library

A nice library but the librarians where very loud as well as some patrons. I'm a bit old school and wish libraries were quiet again so people can concentrate. It wasn't crowded so that's a plus.

Did y’all really hit the panic alarm for somebody exercising their first amendment right in public? You’ve got to be kidding me y’all have got to do better. I will pray for y’all.

They were very nice. Was hoping for the preschool section to be more fun, but it's COVID going around, so maybe they used to have blocks and puzzles out Pre-COVID.

A wonderful experience! The inside of the building is cool on hot days and warm- not hot, on cool/cold days. Located near the police and fire departments, I felt awkwardly safe! (Sometimes, I simply feel awkward, with special emphasis being on the evil hall of utilities- also neighbors to the House of High Knowledge Jenks Library…. House of High Knowledge sounds so much more regal, doesn’t it?) The photo I have attached doesn’t do the inner parts of the building any justice. The people are always very kind. They are helpful, as once I became lost inside and became frantic. They calmed me by showing me the door and pointing at books and stuff.

Nice staff, but this place is more of a day care center than a quiet place to read, study or do work. Every visit has been full of distractions such as babies and kids screaming/running around, as well as patrons having loud, full-blown conversations. Wish they had a quiet, dedicated space for those who want to read. Other than that, they have good resources.
