What a hidden jem! The food was excellent. Pretty much just your basic old school neighborhood style restaurant; but the food was really delicious. The wife got a muffuletta, I was skeptical-but ended up eating half her lunch : ) I also had their fried chicken-really delicious-freshly done, took a few minutes but well worth the wait. Definitely going back for their lunch specials.

I was traveling from Baton Rouge, LA to Jackson, MS. It was a little out of the way but I'm so glad I went! The food and hospitality were amazing.

Jeanie and her crew are as nice as you'll find anywhere. The food was home cookin' at its finest! If I lived closer, I'd be there every day... I had chicken fried steak, meatloaf, okra and tomatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy. My wife had catfish, shrimp, and oysters. All I can say is wow, that was all damn good!

I was in a party of 15, my ladies group. Our waitress Katie was phenomenal! Wasn't as impressed with the kitchen. I ordered my burger medium and it was well done. Please take into consideration the place was pretty full, but I've been there before and was not impressed with the food then either. The rest of the 14 people were happy with theirs, so please take it into account.

We eat at Jeanie's Restaurant frequently. The food is always fabulous. When you order, you know you will receive fresh food and amazing service. We have never once had a bad dish or poor service. All staff members go out of their way to endure you have a positive experience, including the owner Jeanie who is always onsite. Eat here. You will not regret it. Dara and Mike Hutches
