Super cute specialty deli opened recently with good wine, cheese, charcuterie, and snack selection. Fresh bread and sandwiches made to order. Espresso, ice cream, and pastas coming soon. Very friendly owners! Nice outdoor seating area. Super excited to have this in our neighbourhood. 🤩

Mount Soledad specialty food market with fresh sandwiches, pastries, coffee and cold brew worth the visit if you live on Mount Soledad or are visiting the Mount Soledad Veterans Memorial. I've tried my best to help the previous markets in this location hidden by the shrubs at the entrance to the Windemere community on Soledad Mountain Road right before the top of the hill. This one has the best chance yet since not only do I like the sandwiches, but for the first time among the markets, my wife likes them too. Freshly made baguettes and high quality meats make all the difference, not to mention the two staff are the husband and wife owners so they take pride in the quality of the product and service. If you care about food then go to Jaybird. Like cheese? Hannah knows cheese. Ask for some Albert’s Golden Child; it will blow you away. Like Salume? Taste the Dodge City ( yes, a made in the USA product) and try to not buy some; impossible! Jaybird will change your mind about sandwiches as a destination; so creative with house-made breads. Peter’s wine selections are carefully chosen, uncommon, fabulous and budget friendly. But go just for Hannah and Peter because they’re people you’ll be glad you know.

Had a great time trying out the fresh bread and cheese they offer. They also sell wine, canned food, olive oil, snacks etc.. Owners are friendly and welcoming, excited to have them here.
