Jamaica Mike Cuisine

I had an oxtail plate from this fabulous food truck and it was soooo delicious!!! Everything was fresh and tasty! Mike is a great chef working hard to bring the Jamaican flavor to Forney! Please go support his business... did I mention he is one of the nicest guys ever💜💛💜

I’d like to start by saying that the plates were beautiful and had so much potential but lacked flavor and sanitization. There was a DEAD fly in my lemon pepper jerk wings I literally almost threw up. The wings that I did eat were okay lots of jerk flavor not enough lemon pepper. My fiancé had jerk chicken rice&beans cabbage. She stated that the chicken lacked depth. The chicken didn’t taste as if it was marinated. Overall I’d wish that we ate anywhere else I would absolutely not eat here again.

Went to Mike’s Cuisine today, and honestly, this place is a disgrace to Caribbean culture. I feel like I dodged a bullet. The owner showed me the “jerk chicken,” but it didn’t even look grilled — just pale and sitting in a warmer at noon. For a $27 plate, I expected fresh, flavorful food, not something that looked old and unappetizing. This isn’t a good representation of authentic Caribbean cuisine at all.

The owner is kind and very personable !! We had a great chat and amazing service. Yet the food 10 out of 10 I recommend!!! It's fresh made to order, EXTREMELY FLAVORFUL!! DEFINITELY WILL COME BACK AND RECOMMEND!!! THE DISH ABOVE IS ACKEE DISH! IT BLEW ME AWAY DEFINITELY!!! DEFINITELY AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN FOOD THE OWNER IN THE PICTURE ABOVE MICHEAL IS JAMAICAN AND COOKS WITH HIS SOUL! FOOD IS FRESH, PLENTIFUL, AND AGAIN DEFINITELY WORTH TRYING AND COMING BACK!!

We really enjoyed our food! We were traveling from El Paso to Little Rock, and Mike was the only business in DFW that accommodated our request for fried dumplings with Ackee and Saltfish, on a Tuesday 🔥🇯🇲
