Jalapeños Meridian

The food was OK. Carne Asada was plain, nothing special about it, but the prawns were really good. The kids meals were OK and but one of our kids bean and cheese burritos were taken as if they were done but they weren’t and they replaced it with a big burrito with everything in it and then we told her ( older lady with blonde streaks ) it was just a kid bean and cheese burrito And they wouldn’t remake that for our kid…And then they try to not give us the cash half off until we argued it then they gave it to us, but we had to argue then try to give us gratuity with six people!?!PAID OUR BILL! Then my older boys came to eat there as we were walking out and I was trying to pay their bill for food, they would not give them 1/2 half!? I dont get it with this Lady!? The older lady with blonde

Overall food was ok. Typical Mexican restaurant experience where it tasted good In the moment, and felt it a bit after. Atmosphere was very standard for jalapeños. No complaints. Service was sub-par. Server was clearly unhappy with people being there, and we were very much an inconvenience to her. Overall, not bad.

Awesome kid friendly spot! Every table had toys for kids, there were games and puzzles. Food was great! Portions were huge! And our server was fantastic! I really loved this little stop on our way home!

Jalapeños had delicious food and great service. We ordered asada tacos, steak fajitas, pollo asado and a bean, rice and cheese burrito. The steak fajitas were a little chewy but everything else was on another level. We really enjoyed the salsa! We ordered to go, but the waitress was really nice and provided excellent suggestions. We believe the prices were fair. We almost went back the next day for more salsa.😃

This was our second visit to this location. We really want to love it because it's the most convenient for us, but we had another subpar experience. My wife got the breakfast burrito & it was 90% potato. It's as if they wanted to make it appear large so they packed it FULL of potato. We've decided we prefer the Barkley location so far. Also across all the locations they tack on an unexplained 3% kitchen service charge?!
