Jacksonville Public Library

Quiet friendly place to find/read a book or use their free WiFi. Great staff, wonderful "small kids" section. Loads of special events for all ages.👍👍📚

Stopped in here after a library meetup. Such a gorgeous place and has a look I wish I could (but will never be able to) duplicate. I only hope our library is a fraction as nice as this one someday! Thanks so much to the director for meeting us on such short notice! ☺️

Selection is what you would expect for a small library but absolutely love their kids area and events. It's one of my daughters favorite places to go.

Very patient and attentive staff. Always willing to go the extra mile and help any way they can. Very friendly and always welcoming.

Does anyone know if the Jacksonville Public Library has any archival material or history of the old Illinois State Asylum? I had a relative there in 1865(William Sanderson McCormick), who was said to suffer from “Nervous Dyspepsia”. Thanks for any responses!
