Jack in the Box

40 minute wait inside on a Sunday (2:00pm). No crowds only 3 cars in the drive through and 4 people ordering in the lobby. This is the 2nd weekend in a row that this has happened. They have 3 people working. One manager who stays in the back (burgers). One cashier/drive thru employee and 1 fryer person. They don't greet you. They just say can I take your order. We ordered online for pick up and arrived 15 minutes later. We waited for 10 minutes but they had not even started to make the online orders as there were 2 other people also waiting. One was a door dash driver. When our food came, the fries were cold, soggy, broken in half and had dirty black specs on them. The taste was horrible. It was dirty oil. Today at the Hilo, Hawaiʻi location, the front door was locked, customers were at the drive-through. I waited in line for 40 minutes at the drive-through. This is not what bothered me because I knew there was a reason for the door to be lock. But, when it was finally my turn, the employee at the window was extremely rude. She held out the card terminal, and as I tried to insert my card, she abruptly told me in an angry voice to "tap the top." After I tapped my card, she threw the terminal onto the counter, gave me an angry look, and walked away. I was stunned and felt really bad about the interaction. I have been sitting in the drive through line for a half hour and still have 2 cars in front of me. They need to shut this place down. I give it 0 stars. Don’t come near this place. Taco Bell next door had a line wrapped around the building when I pulled into this place and I only had the 2 cars in front of me and their line is gone. And I still have 2 cars in front of me.

Just all around terrible. I've never been to a Jack in the Box before so I figured why not try it. Went inside, ordered through the app and waited over 35 min to get my food. I heard one worker say they were short staffed which after reading reviews, it seems like a continuous problem. Sign on the counter says they're hiring for managers and pay $70k. Try paying more and you may get workers especially when meals are $15-$20 each. Anyways, ordered a sandwich with 1 patty, fries, and a drink. Get my food and go home. This sandwich had 3 patties, was huge, and such a mess. The fries looked like they were removed from the fryer way too soon. The only thing good was the soda. Slowest fast food place I know of. It doesn't matter if there's 2 people in line or 10, or if you go in or drive through- you WILL BE WAITING. If time means anything to you, go to another place. Check your bags before you drive out, guarantee there will be at least one thing wrong or missing and you'll have to park and go in after you just annoyingly waited 40 minutes for your food, or just deal with it once you get home if you dont notice in time. Rude staff, acts irritated with YOU if they mess up and you bring it to their attention. Even if youre polite and cordial. You'd think that after years of chaos they'd finally get it together. Have a meeting, go to the drawing boards, figure it OUT. Someone needs to contact corporate at this point. Total joke.
