It's About Thyme

Ok, this is a really cool little cafe in the heart of Culpeper. Interior decor has a European Belle Epoch theme, brings the movie Midnight in Paris to mind. Service was impeccable. We had lunch, the menu was modest, but a nice variety. Prices are reasonable and the house Merlot was very good. Should be at the top of the list if dining in Culpeper.

10/10 . We stopped here on our roadtrip with our dog. The restaurant was very dog friendly and the server brought my dog an ice cold bowl of water. The food was so comforting and delightful. I got the split pea soup which I had been craving for new years. 🫛 their focaccia was to die for, and they even gave me extra. The service was great as well. We will be back!!

My new favorite restaurant in Virginia. The staff is incredible and attentive and the food is the the absolute best. A hidden gem in culpepper that we’ve turned into to our forever date night visit. Do yourself a favor and try the chicken and dumplings (it’s not what you think) and the pork collar if they have it. You’ll agree with me. Also try the Fiocchi Dumplings on the app menu. It’s life changing. Priced reasonably and do yourself a favor and have the sangria, white or the old timer. You’re thank me later.

Rosemary Room was very disappointing. Lights outside of room keeps room lit up all night. Constant drone of restaurant exhaust fan 24/ hours. Impossible to regulate hot/ cold water in shower. |I would avoid this room. |I had the Italian Room here before and was totally satisfied.

We took a party of 8 for my daughter’s birthday dinner. The food took 45/50 min to come out. People that came in long after us got their food first. Then came time for the bill. What a complete fiasco. We had multiple separate parties which I called in advance to tell them. We were guilted by a server for wanted to split it up by party once we were finished. Why on earth they do not have a system that can print each parties checks out is beyond me. The experience was so bad no one at the table wants to return there ever again.
