Island Sushi & Grille

me and my boyfriend went here for the first time today, service was nice. but we couldn’t even finish the food we ordered i was already feeling queasy. as soon as we left the restaurant not even a hour later i was sick.. i asked a good friend if she’s ever had food from here and she said that she got food poisoning last time she ate here.. so definitely be carful. because i fear i’m on the train of food poisoning. :(

The Philly and California roll were okay. For the price you get a generous amount of food. The shrimp tempura roll was the best out of the three. The gyoza was good as well. Service was also good. It wasn’t busy but we were checked on. The decor inside borders tacky. A touch up would help this place stand out. I would probably return for another visit.

The servers were great! They made the whole experience worth while. The food was okay but nothing to get excited about.

The food was alright. I feel like when a place try’s too much they miss on the quality of the food. They have a mix of Japanese food and Korean dishes.The sushi rice had a stronger taste than I prefer. The dumpling were good I also tried the kimchi fried rice it wasn’t very good. The restaurant is a bit run down but that’s normal with the other restaurants in the area waitress was very friendly and nice. Gave extra star for her

Do not be fooled by the horrid creepy exterior (we almost turned back but we're curious about the reviews this place received): This place offers what is EASILY the best Sushi served in this area, and maybe the best Sushi we've had... ever. The only thing Asahi has over this place is the Unajo (Broiled Eel over rice). Otherwise, this place offers Sushi that is at a completely different level. Not a single roll wasn't amazing. After we were done I started thinking this might just be the most satisfied we've both been with a Sushi meal.
