Icing on the Cakes

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Debra and Icing on the Cakes in Kitty Hawk, NC! I had preordered a German chocolate cake for my dad’s 75th birthday, which we were planning to celebrate on the second day of our beach vacation. Unfortunately, when we arrived at our rental, it turned out to be uninhabitable. After hours of back-and-forth with the rental company, we made the difficult decision to drive 5 hours back to my dad’s home instead. I reached out to Debra to let her know we wouldn’t be able to pick up the cake the next day since we were leaving the area. She told me she had just finished baking it and, with the kindest heart, offered to ice it right away so we could grab it on our way out of town. An hour later, we had a beautifully finished German chocolate cake in hand.

We loved our cake and various desserts that Debra provided! She gave us a nice variety to sample prior to the wedding. She was willing to take any requests, including making buckeyes which is a staple from where my family is from in Ohio. Debra delivered the desserts directly to the venue on the day of. It was a very stress-free experience! Thanks again Debra!

Debra made our wedding cake for our wedding at the Hilton Pier House this summer. We wanted a fairly simple cake, but it was delicious and even more beautiful than we expected. It was also very affordable. Debra made us exactly what we were looking for - we highly recommend using her!

Debra provided a quick turn around for a beach birthday party! We ordered a tasty almond birthday cake with raspberry filling.

Deb at Icing on the Cakes made our AMAZINGLY delicious wedding cake top and cupcakes for our June 2016 wedding. Communication was great and Deb was awesome - the cake was even better. It arrived flawlessly and was set up just as requested - it looked spot on to our inspiration photos! We ordered extra cupcakes, but EVERY single cupcake got devoured at the reception! Everyone was RAVING about them! We got key lime, orange, and eclair. Can't wait to order some again for our first anniversary! :)
