Ichi Japanese Express

Been ordering to go from this place since 2019, approx once a month, sometimes twice. Can recall only one time there was an issue over the years. Tonight I ordered egg rolls (my go-to), a side of Hibachi chicken, and a side of fried rice. Egg rolls were good, as always, and the chicken was fine, just really didn't have much of a flavor to it, even with the juice/sauce it sat in. The fried rice, however...was just white rice with a tiny sprinkle of peas/carrots/whatever and I think I saw one tiny piece of scrambled egg. I really like to support local businesses, but this looks like another one that I will be a less frequent customer of in the future as their menu prices have crept up into the 'getting expensive for what it is' category as well.

Food is good but they seem to overcharge. They said they went up on their prices but the menu on the counter shows a different price. Egg rolls on the menus show 2.50 and 2.59 but was charged 2.99 and the crab Rangoon shows on menu at 2.89 and 3.29 but was charged 3.89. This is false advertisement and they need to stop overcharging. Prices advertised must be followed.

I'm not a sushi expert. I like sushi. The nigiri I got was not well made. The ratio of rice to meet was completely off, and the fish was not terribly fresh. Definitely had a fishy smell. Taste was fine. However, despite being the first people in the restaurant at 11:00 a.m. on a Monday, the bathrooms were in a state of what I might kindly refer to as "disarray." There was dried urine all over the toilets, everything was sticky, the trash can was almost overflowing. I'm not really sure how they got a 95% rating on their sanitation score. They also have a very unfortunate habit of mixing cold sushi dishes with hot dishes off the menu when they package it to go. , rendering your sushi weirdly hot. "Weirdly hot" would be the title of this review if I could leave one. And not in a good way.

I eat here at least once week. (To go order) Always ready, always correct and more than enough for two meals. Very friendly behind the counter and very pleasant even when I'm explaining a special order. (Add this, leave off that, etc. and yes, I'm one of those on some orders). Good prices also.

I got teriyaki chicken and delicious every time we get!! Absolutely recommend it !!!
